Hydrothermablation: Office Treatment for Abnormal Bleeding
Imagine permanent relief from heavy, painful periods with a procedure that is:
Hydrothermablation involves removing the uterus lining to a depth of 1/8 inch by circulating hot liquid (90 degrees centigrade) throughout the uterus. It is done with a hysteroscope which is a special camera that goes through the cervix to visualize the inside of the uterus. There is no “cutting” or “surgery”.
Hydrothermablation treats bleeding due to any benign cause.
It can actually shrink fibroids up to 3 cm in size and provide permanent relief from bleeding. The procedure takes ten minutes and can be done in the office with local anesthesia.
As of December 2008 we also offer in-office intravenous sedation or light anesthesia performed by a board-certified anesthesiologist.
