Great article, Dr. Binkley! As a recurrent sub-acute insomnia sufferer, I can see myself in so much of this. I use deep breathing and visualization relaxation techniques to quiet the stress pathways, as you call it. I love your explanation here. Worry about not sleeping has indeed kept me up many a night!
